Temporary Project Estimator
Location: Swansea, SA7
Pay Rate: £19.23 per hour
Job Type: Temporary Contract (3 Months)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Estimator to join our team on a 3-month temporary contract (could be extended) based in Swansea (SA7). This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with estimating experience in small works and commercial projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting project delivery, and ensuring commercial viability across a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for small works and commercial projects.
- Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare tender submissions and pricing schedules.
- Liaise with project managers, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor project costs and identify potential commercial risks.
- Maintain estimating records and documentation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an Estimator or Project Estimator role.
- Experience pricing small works and commercial projects.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
