We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced CQC Registered Manager to lead and oversee the delivery of exceptional care services within a regulated healthcare environment. Responsibilities
- Lead the overall management of the care service, ensuring adherence to CQC regulations and standards such as NCQA standards and infection control protocols.
- Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures that promote high-quality care aligned with legal requirements including HIPAA and Workers' Compensation Law.
- Supervise and support multidisciplinary teams, including nurse management, medical staff, and support personnel, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional development.
- Oversee clinical governance activities such as audits, incident investigations, risk assessments, and compliance reporting to maintain accreditation standards.
- Ensure comprehensive discharge planning, medication administration accuracy, patient assessment procedures, and medical documentation are consistently maintained.
- Manage operational aspects including EMR systems (such as Cerner or Athenahealth), EHR systems (like eClinicalWorks), and medical records management to optimize efficiency.
- Promote patient care excellence through initiatives in dementia care, behavioral health, geriatrics, pediatric care including neonatal ventilator management, and acute pain management.
- Facilitate staff training on essential clinical skills such as IV insertion, sterile processing techniques, tube feeding protocols, catheter care, phlebotomy, suturing, airway management, and basic life support.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality laws by maintaining HIPAA standards during all patient data handling activities.
- Drive continuous quality improvement projects aimed at enhancing patient safety outcomes across diverse settings including long-term care facilities and hospital environments.
Experience
- Proven leadership experience as a Registered Manager within healthcare or social care settings with a strong understanding of CQC registration requirements.
- Extensive background in clinical supervision with familiarity in managing teams across medical-surgical units, ICU/CCU environments (including Level I & II Trauma Centers), pediatric units such as PICU or neonatal intensive care units (NICU), and adult geriatric services.
- Demonstrated expertise in working with diverse patient populations including those with developmental disabilities or dementia requiring specialized memory or Alzheimer’s care programs.
- Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), DRG systems for billing purposes, CPT coding for procedures like gastric lavage or spinal taps, and utilization review processes.
- Experience utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Athenahealth for documentation and data management.
- Skilled in managing complex cases involving medication administration, ventilator management, catheterization procedures like cardiac catheterization or spinal taps; proficiency in infection control practices is essential.
- Familiarity with triage protocols in emergency medicine settings; experience working within acute care hospitals or trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Ability to lead quality assurance initiatives aligned with NCQA standards while ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations including occupational health guidelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with multidisciplinary teams and patients of all ages—including children from toddler to neonatal stages—and their families.
