We are opening applications for an experienced Barista/Cafe assistant to join our team at our cafe in Fenstanton, Cambridgeshire. The ideal candidate will be over 18 with a full UK driving licence, someone with high standards, a big smile and a friendly personality. Ready to look after and host our existing and new customers. They will be passionate about high-quality food and drink, with a keen eye for detail and an attitude to go the extra mile. Our perfect candidate will have a minimum of 2 years Foh / barista experience. We are looking for someone that is comfortable leading a small team when required, is a hard worker and can use their initiative. This is a varied role in an ever changing environment, therefore team work is imperative.
Responsibilities:
- You will spend your time efficiently crafting and serving high quality beverages to exceed customer expectations.
- Start conversations with our customers to get to know them and their preferences. Ably answering their questions about the drinks, menu and upcoming events.
- Turning local customers into regulars and even friends.
- Taking orders and payments at the till and then fulfilling those orders - including food and drink.
- Ensuring Health & Safety standards are met at all times.
- Leading a small team as and when required.
- Keeping the café beautifully clean and tidy. Deep cleaning other areas when trade is quieter.
- Having a professional and friendly manner with customers and team members, while being authentically yourself.
- Update signs and displays to attract customers.
- Communicate effectively with management and relay feedback so that we are always upping our game!
- Take an active role in your own training and development, striving to continually improve.

- Day shift, with some evenings
- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 1 in 3 weekends
