Job Summary
We are seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable Stratford-upon-avon Walking Tour Guides to lead engaging and informative tours around the historic city. This role offers an excellent opportunity to share your passion for history, architecture, and local culture with visitors from around the world. All guides will be paid for their services, ensuring a professional and rewarding environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead guided walking tours of Stratford-upon-avon key landmarks, historical sites, and hidden gems with enthusiasm and expertise
- Provide engaging narratives that highlight the city’s rich history, architecture, and cultural significance
- Ensure the safety and comfort of all tour participants throughout the experience
- Answer questions from visitors in a clear and friendly manner
- Manage tour logistics, including punctuality and adherence to scheduled timings
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour at all times during tours
- Promote a positive image of Stratford-upon-avon as a premier tourist destination
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Passionate about history, culture, or local heritage of Stratford-upon-avon
- Previous experience in guiding tours or working in customer service is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Friendly, approachable personality with strong organisational skills
- Ability to speak clearly and confidently in English; additional languages are a plus
- Reliable with good time management skills
- Must be aged 18 or over and able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if required
