Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards within our facilities, ensuring a welcoming environment for all guests. Experience in the hotel or hospitality industry is highly desirable, as it will contribute to your understanding of the specific cleaning needs in these settings. Must be a minimum of 18 years old due to the nature of the work undertaken.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring all areas are spotless and well-maintained.
- Dust, vacuum, and mop floors; clean windows and mirrors; and sanitise bathrooms and kitchens.
- Change bed linens and towels, restock supplies, and ensure that all cleaning equipment is used safely and effectively.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and adhere to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as required, including deep cleans or seasonal tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cleaning role, particularly within the hotel or hospitality sector, is preferred but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- A positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with guests and colleagues alike.
