Level 3 Vehicle Technician
Location: Lutterworth, Leicestershire
Shift: Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:30 (or 08:00-17:00 with a 30-minute lunch)
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 basic, OTE £45,000-£50,000
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join a well-established independent garage in Lutterworth. Specialising in BMW and other premium German vehicle brands, this is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to work on more complex repairs and diagnostics rather than routine servicing work.
Working as part of a team of six, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out major mechanical repairs, and ensuring vehicles are repaired to the highest standards.
The Role:
As a Level 3 Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults across a range of vehicles
- Carrying out major repairs and diagnostic work
- Using manufacturer and aftermarket diagnostic equipment
- Identifying and resolving complex vehicle issues efficiently
- Completing all work to a high standard and within agreed timescales
- Maintaining accurate job records and documentation
- Supporting workshop productivity and quality standards
The Person:
- NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician within a workshop or garage environment
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Experience working on German vehicle brands is highly desirable
- BMW experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Full UK Driving Licence with no more than 6 points for minor offences
- Reliable, professional, and quality-focused approach to work
