Full-time | 42 hours per week | Daytime, evening and weekend shifts
We’re looking for someone with character.
Not just someone who can carry three plates, change a barrel or check in a guest, but someone who can calm a busy service, spot a wobbly table, make a regular feel remembered, and still notice the candle on table six has gone out.
One of our managers, Marco, is sadly leaving us at the end of July, so we’re looking for the next person to join our management team and help keep The Tower moving in the right direction.
This is a hands-on role across our pub, restaurant and hotel. You’ll be helping run day-to-day service, supporting the team, dealing with guests, sorting orders, using hotel and POS systems, managing rotas, jumping in where needed, and bringing ideas that help us keep improving.
More than anything, we’re looking for someone switched on, warm, reliable and proud of doing things properly.
Responsibilities will include
Managing team members
Running day-to-day service
Carrying out ordering
Managing stock and supplies
Using hotel and POS software
Dealing with customers and guests
Managing bookings and enquiries
Creating and managing rotas
Opening and closing the building
Supporting bar, restaurant and hotel teams
Training and developing staff
Helping with menus, specials and new ideas
Maintaining standards
Handling feedback and resolving issues
About you
You might already be a Duty Manager, Assistant Manager, Restaurant Manager, Bar Manager or Supervisor ready for the next step. Your exact job title matters less than your attitude.
You’ll be warm with guests, organised under pressure, confident leading a team and happy to get stuck in. You’ll care about good service, good standards, good people and the small details that make a place feel special.
Because The Tower is not a chain, and we don’t want to feel like one.
We’re independent, family-run and proud of our roots. We care about the people who work here, the regulars who keep coming back, the guests who choose to stay with us, and the small details that make the whole place tick.
This is a great role for someone who wants responsibility, variety, creativity and the chance to make a real mark on a place with proper soul.
