Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef/Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Oversee all aspects of food production, including menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including staffing schedules, inventory management, and maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with the management team to meet customer preferences and seasonal trends
- Train and mentor staff to enhance their culinary skills and professional development
- Monitor food quality during preparation and service to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality environment
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food production, cooking, and food safety
- Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff effectively
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, including food preparation techniques and restaurant service standards
- Leadership qualities with excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with health regulations and best practices in hygiene management
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is essential
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
