Overview
We are looking for an experienced scaffolder to join a fast-paced two-person gang carrying out scaffold works across Woking, Sussex, Brighton, the South Coast, Kent, Salisbury and surrounding areas.
This role would suit someone who is experienced, physically fit, switched on, and used to working at a strong pace. We are a productive team and we aim to get jobs completed quickly, safely and properly. The right person must be able to keep the work moving, think ahead, and work efficiently without needing to be constantly directed.
The way we work is straightforward: both people graft, both people labour, both people fix, and both people stay active throughout the job. We need someone who can work as part of a two-person gang, follow the job properly, and help get the scaffold up, adapted or struck as efficiently as possible.
At times, this can be a high-pressure role because jobs need to be completed to deadlines. When a scaffold needs to be up, adapted or taken down, it has to be done properly and on time. The right person must be able to stay focused, work under pressure when required, and keep a good pace while maintaining safe standards.
The work is mainly one-lift, two-lift, three-lift and four-lift scaffold towers, with some roof throw-ins, ladder work, erecting, adapting and striking. You must already know what you are doing, be able to follow a job, understand what is required on site, and erect standard scaffold works without being trained from scratch.
This is a physically demanding role and it requires someone who is comfortable working hard throughout the day. The pay is good because the role requires experience, effort, pace, reliability and responsibility.
There will be early starts, and some days may involve late finishes depending on the job. Some days may be job-and-knock when the work allows, although this is not guaranteed.
Someone based near Woking or within reasonable travelling distance would be preferred.
Pay: £1,300 - £1400 per week
Location: Woking-based, covering Sussex, Brighton, South Coast, Kent, Salisbury and surrounding areas
Licence: HGV licence preferred, or a full clean UK driving licence as a minimum
Experience: Experienced scaffolder required — this is not a trainee role
Work type: Scaffold towers, roof throw-ins, ladder work, erecting, adapting and striking.
The right person will be experienced, reliable, switched on, physically fit, safety-conscious, and able to work quickly while still maintaining proper scaffolding standards.
