Main Objective
To provide a range of facilities maintenance services including maintenance of equipment, support for alarm testing and general housekeeping duties for the Allmakes building and surrounding site areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Site and Facilities Maintenance
· Keep the warehouse and surrounding areas free from litter, discarded pallets, and packaging.
· Monitor and report scrap timber for removal and assist with loading (Forklift Licence required).
· Assist with recycling and waste management activities, including waste cardboard collection.
· Operate the wood saw for construction of small internal projects as required.
· Undertake general handyman duties, including small repairs, painting, and decorating.
· Support the upkeep of company facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and operational environment.
· Support weekly fire alarm testing on a rota basis with the Facilities & Support Manager.
· Ensure all company Health & Safety requirements are strictly followed and report any issues promptly to a Manager.
· Participate in mandatory safety training, including Manual Handling and site induction.
· Contribute to maintaining safe walkways, storage areas, and access routes.
· Assist other departments with short driving and delivery duties as required.
· Operate the Tennant cleaning machines to maintain warehouse cleanliness.
· Support site maintenance activities and small works in liaison with the Facilities & Support Manager.
· Undertake any other duties commensurate with the role, as required on a day-to-day basis.
Pre-Existing Skills Required
· Previous experience in a similar role.
· Proven accuracy and reliability.
· Mature and responsible demeanour.
· Good communication skills.
· Physical mobility and ability to perform manual tasks.
· Competent IT skills (basic computer literacy).
