Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a wide range of desserts, including cakes, pastries, and specialised treats, following established recipes and presentation standards
- Assist in food production activities, ensuring efficiency and adherence to quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace in accordance with food safety regulations
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including mixers, ovens, and other baking tools
- Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks simultaneously and maintaining a positive attitude
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues
- Assist with inventory management by organising ingredients and supplies as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen environments is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in bakery or dessert production is advantageous
- Experience working in a restaurant or café setting will be considered beneficial
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- A genuine interest in culinary arts, baking, or patisserie is highly desirable
