HGV Class 2 Skip Driver
Job Overview
Anglian is looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join our team. The role involves the safe delivery, collection, and exchange of skips at customer sites, ensuring excellent customer service while complying with all road safety and waste management regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class 2 (Category C) skip lorry safely and professionally
- Deliver, collect, and exchange skips at domestic, commercial, and construction sites
- Load and unload skips using vehicle-mounted equipment
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly on R2C
- Ensure all loads are secure and transported in line with legal requirements
- Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately
- Maintain compliance with tachograph, Working Time Directive, and driver hours regulations
- Provide a professional and courteous service to our customers and clients
- Follow all health & safety, environmental, transport and Company set policies.
- Keep the vehicle in a clean and presentable condition.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Driver CPC qualification
- Digital tachograph card
- Previous skip driving experience preferred (training will be provided)
- Good knowledge of UK road networks and transport regulations
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks
- Strong timekeeping, flexibility and reliability
- Ability to work independently and manage daily routes

Working Hours
- 47.5 per week, between the core hours of 5:00am - 5:00pm, Monday to Friday
- Overtime and weekend work may be available depending on business needs
