Standby Healthcare are recruiting for a Senior Support Worker in Newbury, this is a fantastic opportunity to join an established charity organisation supporting Adults with Learning disabilities. Role responsibilities:
- Build trusting, therapeutic relationships with service users.
- Support individuals in managing daily routines, self-care, and social skills.
- Assist senior staff with planning and delivering service provision.
- Encourage participation in meaningful activities and community involvement.
- Work closely with local multidisciplinary teams and community-based agencies to support holistic care.
- Monitor mental health changes and report concerns promptly.
- Administer medication where required (training provided).
- De-escalate challenging situations using trauma‑informed approaches.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and confidentiality.
To be successful you will:
- Previous experience within learning disabilities and mental health
- Full UK Driving License with access to own vehicle
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
