Overview:
Due to expansion in both our Construction and Plant Hire businesses we are seeking a person to take on sweeper driving, assist with delivering plant to our hire customers/sites, warehouse/yard organisation, basic plant maintenance such as washing down and greasing machines.
Please do not apply if you don't have any plant or machinery experience.
Duties:
- Operate a sweeper competently and safely (training will be provided).
- Perform general yard maintenance tasks such as cleaning, organising, and maintaining the appearance of the yard/warehouse
- Assist with loading and unloading materials
- Operate all construction plant and other equipment onto delivery vehicles
- Perform general daily maintenance across the fleet of plant, such as jet washing, greasing, small repairs
- Safely and efficiently transport plant to designated locations using company vehicles
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for deliveries
- Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers to ensure smooth operations
Skills:
- Full UK valid driving licence required with less than 6 points (candidate must be over 25 years of age due to insurance constraints)
- HGV Class 2 essential
- Ability to competently operate various types of construction plant equipment
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices, ability to competently drive/reverse 3.5t pick-up trucks with trailers
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and co-workers
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety procedures

Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
