Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and introducing daily specials.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring all requests are noted.
- Serve food and drinks to tables in a timely manner, maintaining high standards of presentation.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure all guests receive prompt attention.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety standards is advantageous.
- Strong guest service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and processing payments efficiently.
- Excellent time management skills, enabling you to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
