About this client:
Working in this family home will involve supporting two fabulous children.
Aged 10 and 7 years old the children live at home in Borehamwood, with Mum, Dad and their pet dog.
E& L are loving, engaging children who love to be around people, enjoy music, and L particularly has a love for watching Hey Duggee and Peppa Pig on the iPad. They enjoy going swimming (hydrotherapy) at school, going to the farm and the sensory room at school. They have a family pet who E loves to help walk and care for.
L is a loving, strong-minded, happy young boy who communicates non-verbally through sounds, facial expressions and body language. L has lots of cause and effect toys and other activities that involve coordination.
E is strong minded and determined, and full of energy, she communicates verbally and through somebody language. E likes farm visits. E has lots of activities in her room that involve role play which she enjoys playing with.
Ideally, due to E & L’s sensory and emotional needs, we would like previous experience in working with children with complex behavioural presentations. Also experience of supporting incontinence management with pad changes. Although the person's personality and passion are the most important!
Overview of role:
The family require support 3 after school sessions per week and 1 weekend day session per week.
The weekday shifts are 15.30 to 17.30
The weekend day shifts are 10.00 to 16.00 hours
E&L’s daily routine consists of personal care, observations and completing their therapy programmes.
