Leicestershire County Care Ltd has been successfully running Residential Care Homes within the Midlands area for over 10 years. The foundation of this company is built on providing a safe and homely atmosphere where residents have the ability to live their lives in a nourishing and supportive environment which promotes their independence.
We are currently seeking a Commissioning Care Home Manager for The Limes, Care Home. The home is currently under refurbishment and is due to open at the end of 2026. The home will cater for residential, respite and dementia care and will be a 40 bedded home.
The ideal applicant should have NVQ Level 5 and have considerable experience at senior level of running and managing a care home, minimum 2+ years.
Daily duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Involved with the opening and commissioning of the care home.
- Responsible for care of staff and residents and ensuring communication with Head Office/Directors
- Responsible for achieving agreed objectives, maintaining standards and adhering to set policies and procedures, CQC; KLOE’s
- Monitor all duty rotas and the internal rotation of staff ensuring that they are managed within the allocated manpower and skill mix
- Assist in staff training including inductions and deliver training sessions where appropriate in conjunction with the Training Coordinator
- Monitoring services provided to the Home and addressing any shortfalls
- Responsible for the coordination of effective liaison with the Multi-Disciplinary Team, HR.
- Extensive knowledge regarding care reviews, referrals and assessments of residents and the planning of discharge
- Being aware of policies as set by Leicestershire County Care Ltd
- Knowledge of regulations, laws and policies of agencies such as Registration, Environmental Health etc.
Skills/Requirements:
- Previous experience in commissioning a care home
- NVQ Level 5 or equivalent
- Minimum of 2+ years in care home management
- First Aid
- Good numeric and literacy skills
