Automotive Assistant
We’re looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our growing team. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, offering the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of our prestige vehicle dealership.
The role can be tailored depending on your experience and capabilities. Full training will be provided for all aspects of the business, with the exception of any mechanical work.
Main Responsibilities
- Collect vehicles from customers and sellers.
- Carry out vehicle appraisals and diagnostic scans (where applicable).
- Assist with preparing vehicles for sale, including servicing, brakes, tyres, fault diagnosis and general mechanical repairs (depending on experience).
- Photograph and video vehicles before uploading them to our Dealer Management System (DMS).
- Update our DMS with vehicle information, job progress, invoices and vehicle descriptions.
- Assist customers with vehicle viewings, test drives, handovers and the sales process where required.
- Produce and fit number plates.
- Help with the day-to-day running of the dealership and undertake a variety of tasks as required.
- Depending on your experience and the needs of the business, this may also include cleaning and presenting vehicles to our retail standard.
What We’re Looking For
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Confident using computers or willing to learn new systems.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Mechanical experience would be an advantage but is not essential. If you already have mechanical skills, you’ll have the opportunity to put them to use, but applicants without a mechanical background are also encouraged to apply.
Training
Full training will be provided for all dealership procedures, systems and day-to-day responsibilities. The exact duties will depend on your experience, skills and the role you develop within the business.
Pay: £12.71-£17.50 per hour
