Kortext Student Ambassador – Aston University
Location: University Campus
Working hours: 100 hours spread over 9 months (allocated by the program manager, to be discussed at interview)
Salary: £12.71 per hour
Employment type: Contract service agreement. Please ensure your visa allows you to work a self-employed contract.
The Role
As a Kortext Student Ambassador, you will work alongside our Marketing team and your University library team to assist in creating and delivering promotional activities such as welcome events and social media content. Also as part of your role, you will be introducing students to the Kortext brand, educating current and new Kortext users on functionality and accessibility, and collecting user feedback. This role is for students in the second year and above only.
Key Responsibilities
- Events:
- Being the face of Kortext, promoting our platforms on campus and fresher fairs at events, talking to students and encouraging them to sign up
- Networking with students and professionals across the campus to promote the Kortext platform and its benefits
- Planning and running pop up stalls on campus, outside of university organised events
- Content:
- Assisting the marketing team with promotional activities creating social media content and writing blogs
- Working independently and with your fellow ambassadors to create engaging, fresh content
- User research:
- Educating current and new Kortext users on functionality and accessibility – supporting the onboarding of new users whilst ensuring existing users fully utilise all the platform benefits
- Representing the student voice – collecting and reporting on user feedback to help shape our platforms
Skills & Requirements
- Must be starting your second year (or above) at university in September 2026
- Sociable and confident with the ability to influence others
- Familiarity with key social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn)
- Experience with content creation (creating, editing and posting videos)
- Comfortable with being on camera
- Comfortable with independently running event stalls and talking to large amounts of people throughout the day
- Ability to manage own time and complete tasks before their deadlines
- Ability to work independently and part of the ambassador team
- An interest in education and the Kortext platform
