At BCHA, we believe everyone deserves a safe place to call home. We support individuals and families across the South of England who are facing homelessness, social exclusion, or housing challenges, helping them build stability, independence and brighter futures.
We're looking for a dedicated and reliable Housing Concierge to join our Housing Team in Plymouth. This is a rewarding, people-focused role where you'll help create a safe, welcoming and well-managed environment for residents living in supported accommodation.
As a Housing Concierge, you'll be a visible and reassuring presence within the hostel, supporting residents, visitors and colleagues while helping to maintain the safety and security of the building. You'll work closely with Housing Officers and Support Workers, responding to customer enquiries, carrying out welfare and safety checks, monitoring communal areas and reporting any concerns.
This varied role combines customer service, welfare monitoring, building security and accommodation oversight, meaning no two days are the same.
We're seeking someone who:
-
Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
-
Can remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
-
Is able to work independently and use their initiative.
-
Understands safeguarding and professional boundaries.
-
Has good IT skills and can maintain accurate records.
-
Can work a rolling shift pattern including evenings and weekends.
Experience within supported housing, homelessness services, residential settings or other customer-facing environments would be advantageous but is not essential.
At BCHA, you'll be part of a supportive team making a real difference to people's lives. Every shift is an opportunity to help create a safe environment, support vulnerable individuals and contribute to positive housing outcomes within the local community.
If you're passionate about helping people, enjoy working in a varied environment and want to be part of an organisation that changes lives, we'd love to hear from you.
