This is a Level 3 AAT Apprenticeship role - split 80/20 between working and earning with the employer gaining valuable hands on skills, and learning & gaining qualifications with Solveway Apprenticeships!

Apprenticeship summary
Annual wage: £14,560
Working week: Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm (35 hours per week)
Expected duration: 15-18 Months
Apprenticeship level: Advanced Level 3 (A level)
What will the apprentice be doing?
You will largely be working on bookkeeping, VAT and accounts preparation projects but will also assist in some of the day to day functions that are essential to keeping the office running smoothly.
- Bookkeeping in the office
- Preparation of VAT returns for review
- Preparation of accounts for review (includes unincorporated and incorporated entities)
- Preparation of personal, partnership and company tax returns and computations for review
- Completion of jobs as efficiently as possible
- New client set ups including the preparation of client engagement letters and 64-8s as instructed
Desired Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication Ability to listen and understand the client's needs
- Good attention to detail Strong IT / Microsoft Office (especially Excel) skills
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to challenge Able to work to deadlines - both externally and internally
- GCSE Maths and English grade C/4 or above

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
AAT Level 3 qualification on an Assistant Accountant role in the work place.
Training takes place via Microsoft Teams with a fully qualified tutor. The instructor leads a live online training session so you can learn at your own pace and in the comfort of your own home or office. A full training schedule is provided upon a confirmed start date, however training is typically 1 day per week.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
After successfully achieving the AAT Level 3 qualification, the candidate will be considered for a the Level 4 AAT Apprenticeship training and/or the opportunity to progress to a more senior level with the firm and a career within accountancy.
