Job Summary
Tramping Monday to Friday.
- Paid weekly on a friday (Week in hand)
- 28 days holidays
- Operating centre is based in Selby where you would set off from each week.
- Curtain sider/General haulage work up and down the UK delivering to farms, building sites, factories and industrial sites.
- £190 per day + £25 Night out
- We average the wage on 62 hours a week, usually a busy first few days and lighter days towards the end of the week.
- We pay 5 nights out per week as an extra but you only stay out 4 nights.
- We dont pay for services unless carrying certain loads, we do advise on places to park.
- You get your own truck fitted with a fridge, microwave and inverter that you can keep your stuff in and make your own. The Vehicle available is a 20 plate Volvo which is clean and tidy.
We are a small family run farming business who take pride in what we do, we believe we are extremely accommodating and fair and just want the same in return.
We are looking for a self motivated individual who can think for themselves and problem solve. The job is pretty straight forward but does require good timing, experience and attention to detail.
Once a driver has started we require a two week notice period for leaving. We first contact people over the phone to discuss the job and then will invite you in for a face to face interview and driving assessment.
Qualifications
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with curtain side trailers or similar vehicles.
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and efficiency in logistics roles.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods across long distances.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during long-haul trips.
- Flexibility to undertake extended periods away from home as required by tramper duties. This role is ideal for experienced drivers seeking a challenging yet rewarding position within a professional logistics environment, committed to safety, efficiency, and excellent service delivery.
Pay: £49,500.00-£55,500.00 per year
