Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Hair Stylist to join our dynamic salon team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for style, excellent customer service skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a wide range of hair services, including colouring, cutting, styling, and specialised treatments such as eyelash/hair extensions. Experience in store management, mentoring junior staff, and upselling products is highly desirable. A professional attitude combined with strong communication skills will ensure a positive experience for clients and colleagues alike.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality hair styling services including cutting, colouring, blow-drying, and specialised treatments such as hair extensions
- Provide personalised consultations to understand client needs and recommend suitable styles or treatments
- Maintain a welcoming and professional environment at the front desk, managing appointments and client enquiries efficiently
- Upsell retail products to enhance client satisfaction and maximise sales opportunities
- Assist with store management duties as required, including stock organisation and cleanliness standards
- Mentor junior team members to foster their development and ensure consistent service quality
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and techniques in hairdressing and beauty services to offer innovative solutions
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to during service provision
Experience
- Proven experience as a Hair Stylist within a busy salon environment
- Skills in barbering, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and other specialised beauty treatments are advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele
- Experience in store management or supervisory roles is preferred but not essential
- Ability to mentor junior staff members and contribute positively to team dynamics
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage appointments efficiently
- Demonstrated upselling abilities to promote retail products confidently
