As the Finance Manager based from Chessington, Surrey you will be responsible for:The Finance Manager will play a key role in managing the company's day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, supporting business planning, and providing financial insight across the organisation. The role will work closely with operational, commercial, and project teams.Financial Reporting & Management
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting analysis.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist with statutory accounts preparation and audit coordination.Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Track operational and project costs across the business.
- Provide financial analysis to support operational and commercial decisionsOperational Finance
- Manage and oversee accounts payable, receivable, and cash management.
- Monitor working capital and cash flow performance.
- Ensure timely billing and revenue recognition for customers.
- Maintain financial policies and internal controls.Project & Infrastructure Finance
- Track project budgets, commitments, and variances.
- Work with engineering and project teams to ensure financial oversight.Systems & Process Improvement
- Support implementation and optimisation of finance systems and reporting tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with operational, engineering, and commercial teams to provide financial insight.
- Support reporting requirements for investors, lenders, or grant funding bodies
- Professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Experience in a Finance Manager, Management Accountant, or similar finance role.
- Strong financial analysis and reporting skills.
- Experience preparing management accounts and forecasts.
- Strong Excel and financial systems proficiency.
- Experience in energy, projects, construction, engineering, facilities related services is desirable
- Experience working in a project-based environment is desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.
- Salary £65,000 - £75,000
- 10% Bonus available based on individual and company performance
- 25 days holiday
- Hybrid Working - 4 days in the office and 1 from home at first.
