Shape the Future of UK Energy Policy
Are you looking to launch your career at the heart of international climate diplomacy and UK energy policy? This is a rare entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on exposure across two of the REA's highest-priority workstreams during one of the most dynamic periods in UK energy history.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll split your time across two distinct portfolios. On the international side (60%), you'll support the REA's COP31 programme in Turkey — helping coordinate the REA Pavilion, managing event logistics, liaising with partner organisations, and drafting policy and communications materials. On the domestic side (40%), you'll provide policy and public affairs support to the Bioenergy and Heat team, covering parliamentary monitoring, member briefings, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of forums and Party Conference events.
Key responsibilities include:
-
Supporting project management and logistics for COP31 engagement and pre-COP events in London
-
Drafting articles, briefings, and policy updates across both portfolios
-
Liaising with external partners, stakeholders, and delivery organisations
-
Monitoring parliamentary and policy developments and summarising implications
-
Assisting with member forums and Party Conference event delivery

-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
-
A collaborative approach and confidence engaging with external stakeholders
-
