P.N. Daly Ltd have a unique opening for experienced Senior Leakage Detection Technicians to join our water operations team working on the Southern Water contract in Hampshire

Role
This role is for experienced leakage detection technicians, with a good working knowledge of acoustic surveying, including the use of leak noise correlators, ground microphones and acoustic logging, This role is primarily carrying out DMA Leakage reduction, Step-Testing, Validation, Network Valve Operations, customer side leakage, UFW investigations.
Must also have Health & Safety awareness and have a duty of care to their colleagues & anyone affected by the work they do, for example general public / site personal.
Must have an understanding of the risk / impact of leakage activities our customers, the general public, and road-traffic users and to ensure compliance with our statutory, regulatory and company standards at all times.
Be able to carry out risk assessments in conjunction with own tasks and that of follow on work.
Perform the duties of the role in compliance with statutory or regulatory standards, e.g. – hygiene, NRSWA (New Roads & Street Works Act) and environmental. Deliver excellent customer service in accordance with the Companies policies and standards with an aim to deliver the job right first time.

Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Previous experience of network leakage detection & leakage reduction.
- A positive - can do attitude.
- Eagerness to learn
- Working on own initiative.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal directly with customers in a face-to-face environment
- Unit 2 Street Works Qualification
- IT skills and computer literacy desirable

Two shift patterns are available :
Night shift role where you are expected to work 4 x 10 hour shifts from Monday night to Friday morning
Day and Night shift role where you are expected to work a split of Days and nights across 40 hours.
