You’ll be an integral part of life at The Kitchen, working with the team to come up with fresh new ideas and lead the way in the kitchen. You’ll be able to execute all dishes to spec, having worked in similar fresh food, restaurant environments before. You’ll thrive on working in a fast-paced kitchen and your confidence will enable you to stay calm and offer clear instructions during busy periods. It goes without saying that you’re organised, efficient and creative, too.
Responsibilities:
Develop and plan menus and daily specials - including function & event menus
Create prep lists for kitchen team.
Manage food costing and inventory.
Maintain standards for food storage, rotation, quality, and appearance.
Ensure compliance with applicable food safety and health and safety regulations.
Establish maintenance and cleaning schedules for equipment, storage, and work areas.
Participate in interview process and selection of kitchen staff.
