We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join our vibrant team. As a Cafe Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers enjoy their experience, from food preparation to serving beverages and maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation of food and beverages, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving food and drinks, and addressing customer inquiries.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and kitchen equipment.
- Support bartending duties as required, including mixing drinks and serving alcoholic beverages responsibly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Assist with catering events as needed, helping to set up and serve food at various functions.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or café setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable.
- Skills in bartending are advantageous for this role.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment.
