We are supporting a children’s residential care provider with the recruitment of a Senior Residential Children’s Support Worker in Hyde, Manchester
The role involves supporting children and young people living within a residential home environment presenting with EBD and challenging behaviours.
This is a permanent, full time role.
Salary: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum
Sleep-in payments: £50 per sleep in
Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week
Candidates should have previous experience within children’s residential care and a Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading shifts and supporting the team during daily operations
- Acting as a role model for support workers within the home
- Supporting young people with routines, activities and emotional support
- Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed at all times
- Contributing to care planning and risk assessments
- Supporting new staff members with guidance and training
- Liaising with families, social workers and external professionals
- Helping maintain a positive and structured environment within the home
