About Us
CIG SW LTD is a growing construction company specialising in large-scale refurbishment and improvement projects across the South West. We work for a well-established client base delivering projects in occupied buildings, live environments, commercial properties and residential settings.
As our project portfolio continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Site Manager who excels at planning, coordination and leadership. This is not a working foreman role. We need someone who is comfortable managing multiple trades, subcontractors and project phases simultaneously while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and professionalism.
As part of Chesterfield Interiors Group (CIG), CIG Construction benefits from the strength and expertise of a wider organisation operating across Construction, Interiors, and Passive Fire Protection. This integrated approach allows us to deliver comprehensive solutions for our clients while providing our employees with exposure to a diverse range of projects, sectors, and specialist disciplines. With significant growth plans across the Group, this role offers excellent opportunities for career progression, professional development, and future leadership opportunities for the right individual.
The Role
We are seeking an organised, proactive and experienced Site Manager to take full ownership of projects from mobilisation through to completion.
You will be responsible for managing site operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining programme delivery, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, and acting as the key point of contact between site teams and senior management.
The ideal candidate will be confident managing occupied buildings and live environments, able to drive standards on site, and capable of holding subcontractors and labour teams accountable for performance, quality and programme delivery.

- Take full responsibility for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of refurbishment projects.
- Plan, coordinate and monitor all site activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and to budget.
- Manage and coordinate multiple subcontractors, ensuring works are progressing in accordance with programme requirements.
- Undertake regular performance reviews with subcontractors and site teams, identifying and resolving issues before they impact delivery.
- Effectively manage labour-only operatives and direct site labour.
- Procure, schedule and call off materials to ensure uninterrupted project delivery.
- Maintain accurate site records, including daily reports, progress updates and photographic evidence.
- Identify, record and communicate variations in a timely manner to support commercial management of projects.
- Ensure all requests and reporting requirements from senior management are delivered accurately and on time.
- Maintain exceptional standards of health and safety across all projects.
- Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, inspections and compliance audits.
- Enforce high standards relating to PPE, site presentation, housekeeping, behaviour and workmanship.
- Liaise professionally with clients, occupants, consultants and internal teams.
- Manage projects within occupied buildings, ensuring minimal disruption to clients and end users.
- Proactively identify risks, delays and challenges, implementing solutions before they impact project delivery.
