Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef/Cook to join our culinary team and support our head chef. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. Candidates with experience in food production, restaurant service, and food safety are highly desirable. The position involves working in a fast-paced setting where teamwork and culinary expertise are essential to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Oversee food production processes, maintaining efficiency and cleanliness in the kitchen.
- Manage food safety standards by adhering to hygiene regulations and proper storage procedures.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely serving of meals and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, teamwork, and excellent customer service skills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen management within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques across various cuisines is advantageous.
- Previous experience in hospitality or serving roles is beneficial but not essential.
