Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Cleaning Supervisor to oversee evening cleaning operations from Monday to Friday (2.5hrs per night). This part-time role involves supervising cleaning staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, and maintaining efficient workflows within commercial environments. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in janitorial services and demonstrate strong leadership skills to motivate and guide a cleaning team effectively.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning activities, ensuring tasks are completed to a high standard
- Assist with hands-on cleaning duties when necessary, setting an example for the team
- Organise schedules and allocate tasks to team members efficiently
- Monitor the quality of work performed, providing feedback and coaching as needed
- Maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and organise replenishments
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and support
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services
- Previous supervisory or team leader experience in a cleaning environment is desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent communication skills to motivate and direct staff
- Attention to detail to uphold cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Flexibility to work evening shifts from Monday to Friday
