Duties
- Analyse large datasets using SQL, R, Python, and specialised tools such as Tableau and Power BI to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to communicate findings effectively across various departments.
- Design and optimise databases using Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and other relational database management systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their analytical needs and translate these into technical solutions.
- Conduct business analysis to support project requirements, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Assist in the development of data visualisation strategies using Visio, VBA, and Bash (Unix shell) scripting.
- Participate in project management activities following the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodology to ensure timely delivery of analytics projects.
- Contribute to database design improvements and data quality initiatives to enhance overall data integrity.
- Support the realisation of project objectives through effective analysis skills and technical expertise.
Skills
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, and VBA for data manipulation and analysis.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, Visio, and other visualisation tools.
- Strong knowledge of database management systems including Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server.
- Familiarity with SDLC processes and project management principles.
- Business analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data requirements.
- Database design expertise coupled with data analysis skills for optimisation purposes.
- Knowledge of Bash (Unix shell) scripting is desirable but not essential.
