GP Practice Qualified Dispenser
Leith Hill Practice – Capel, Surrey
Leith Hill Practice is a well‑established, patient‑focused GP practice with a dispensing service for the local community. We are based between Horsham and Dorking and looking to recruit for a Qualified Dispenser (full time). We operate across two sites:
- The Old Forge Surgery, 168 The Street Capel, RH5 5EN
- Northbrook Surgery, Warwick Road, South Holmwood, RH5 4NP
Due to limited public transport links in the area, access to your own transport is essential for this role.
This opportunity would suit an experienced dispenser seeking a stable role within primary care, or an individual keen to develop a career in dispensing within a supportive GP practice environment.

Qualified Dispenser – Full Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, worked across five days
Salary: From £27,000 DOE
Key responsibilities include:
- Safe and accurate preparation, dispensing and sale of prescriptions
- Assembly and checking of compliance aids (e.g. Dossetts/blister packs)
- Stock control, ordering, storage and rotation of medicines
- Collection of prescription charges and accurate recording using Titan PMR
- Adherence to all Practice SOPs, governance and safety requirements
- Providing a professional, courteous and efficient service to patients
Essential criteria:
- NVQ Level 2 Dispensing Qualification (or equivalent)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication, customer service and IT skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and work effectively as part of a team
