Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Pub Area Cleaner to join our team. This role involves maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout our pub's customer-facing areas. The ideal candidate will have previous cleaning experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. This position offers flexible part-time hours and the opportunity to work within a friendly and professional hospitality setting.
Duties
- Carry out routine cleaning tasks throughout the pub, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards in customer areas, including the bar area, dining areas, seating areas, and entrances
- Clean and restock customer and staff toilets, ensuring high hygiene standards are maintained at all times
- Empty bins and dispose of waste and recycling in accordance with company procedures
- Clean floors, windows, tables, chairs, fixtures, and other furnishings throughout the premises
- Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively, following all relevant guidelines
- Identify and report any maintenance issues, damages, or health and safety concerns
- Follow all health and safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for customers and colleagues
- Assist with deep cleaning tasks as required
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial, hospitality, or pub cleaning is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise cleaning tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of the safe use and handling of cleaning products and equipment
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible in meeting scheduled shifts
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy hospitality environment
