We are looking for a Qualified Carpenters, or unqualified workers skilled in timber window restoration and decoration, to join our on-the-job team, restoring existing, and installing replacement, timber sash/casement windows and doors.
The Company
Cambridge Sashcraft was founded in 2003 and has developed a strong reputation as the leading period window specialist in Cambridge. We opened our own workshop in 2025 and are now looking for additional on-site staff to join our team.
The Role
We are looking for a qualified carpenters, or unqualified but skilled craftspeople, to join our team, working across residential and commercial jobs predominantly within Cambridge but occasionally in the wider Cambridgeshire area. You will be part of a team of on-the-job carpenters and decorators, typically working in pairs or larger groups.
Crucially, candidates should represent the company positively, demonstrating politeness and professionalism when interacting with coworkers and customers. While different levels of experience are considered, a willingness to learn new skills and integrate well with the existing team is paramount.
Competitive rates of pay will be offered, dependent on the candidate's experience, and full time employment options may be available if desired, although a subcontractor arrangement will be utilised initially. We work hard to ensure our on-the-job team work as many weeks of the year as they desire.
