Founded by a former partner of King & Wood Mallesons, the firm advises multinational clients on navigating complex legal, commercial, and regulatory landscapes across the UK, China, and other key global markets.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Manager to oversee our company’s legal and company affairs. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing legal risks, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, and providing strategic legal advice to the company and its clients.
Duties
- Lead the legal team in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and legal documents.
- Partner with external law firms to plan and implement marketing and business development campaigns, strengthening market presence and client relationships.
- Leverage legal expertise to maintain client relationships, protect client interests, assess legal risks, and support compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with legal professionals to deliver comprehensive legal and business consulting services, helping clients address complex commercial and regulatory matters.
- Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of issues including corporate governance, compliance, and risk management.
- Monitor changes in legislation that may affect the company’s operations and advise accordingly.
- Oversee the company's internal operations and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
- Develop and implement policies to ensure company compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Conduct training sessions for interns on legal matters relevant to their roles.
- Manage legal documentation, records, and correspondence efficiently.
Qualifications
- A recognised bachelor's law degree or equivalent qualification.
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English.
- Proven experience as a Legal Manager, paralegal or in a similar legal role.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
- Proficiency in office software relevant to legal documentation and case management.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
Pay: £33,400.00 per year
Work Location: Hybrid remote in London SE1 2RE
