Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Large Format Printer/General Print Finisher on a temporary to permanent basis to join our print production team. This role involves operating large-format printing equipment and performing finishing tasks to ensure high-quality printed materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, possess practical skills, have strong attention to detail and be capable of handling physically demanding tasks such as lifting.
Duties
- Operate large-format printers efficiently, ensuring colour accuracy and print quality.
- Operate various finishing equipment such as booklet makers, folders etc.
- Perform finishing tasks including trimming, cutting, laminating, and mounting printed materials.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools to assemble or modify printed products as required. No installation required.
- Conduct routine maintenance on printing and finishing equipment to minimise downtime.
- Handle materials safely, including rolls of media and large printed panels, employing proper lifting techniques.
- Organise storage of printed materials and finished products systematically.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with large-format printing machinery is preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using tools and machinery for assembly and finishing tasks.
- Physical capability for lifting and extended periods of standing or bending during production shifts.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality output.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in working to ISO 9001:2015 and quality procedures would be an advantage.
Pay: £24,420.00-£26,000.00 per year
