We are seeking a reliable and proactive Transport Supervisor to oversee a team of contracted van drivers operating from our customer’s site. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to manage drivers effectively while maintaining high service standards.
The successful candidate will act as the key point of contact between the drivers, the client, and internal management to ensure daily transport operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support contracted van drivers on site.
- Act as the main point of contact for the customer.
- Coordinate driver schedules, routes, and daily operational requirements.
- Conduct driver briefings/debriefings and communicate operational updates.
- Monitor driver attendance, performance, and compliance with company and site policies.
- Resolve operational issues and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Assist with driver onboarding and support overall transport operations.
Requirements
- Experience in a transport, logistics, or driver supervision role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and solve problems quickly.
- Basic IT skills for reporting and scheduling.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
