Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Director of Netball to lead and develop our Netball program, ensuring a high-quality and well-supported experience for our netball players. The successful candidate will be responsible for the organisation and delivery of netball at the School, including programme design, coaching standards and fixture management. A key part of the role is enhancing the performance and success of the netball provision, while also contributing to the wider school sports programme.
This is a permanent, part time position for 22hrs per week starting September 2026

Role Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programmes tailored to various skill levels and age groups
- Lead coaching sessions, ensuring high standards of technique, sportsmanship, and safety
- Organise fixtures, tournaments, and training schedules in collaboration with other staff members
- Mentor and support coaching staff and volunteers to enhance programme delivery
- Monitor athlete progress and provide personalised feedback to optimise performance
- Ensure compliance with School policies, in particular our Safeguarding Policy during all activities
- Manage budgets related to the netball programme and oversee equipment procurement and maintenance
- Foster a positive team environment that encourages teamwork, discipline, and enjoyment of the sport
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sports coaching, preferably specialising in netball or similar team sports
- Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor athletes of varying ages and abilities
- Strong organisational skills with the capacity to plan programmes effectively
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with players, parents, staff, and external partners
- Relevant coaching qualifications or certifications are highly desirable
- A passion for promoting sport participation and athlete development
- Ability to work flexibly across weekdays and weekends as required
