SEND English Teacher
A newly-opening, specialist school are seeking a passionate, dedicated SEND Teacher to join their brand-new team of dedicated SEND education professionals. Job specification:
- Full-time, permanent position
- Work with KS4-5 students with complex SEMH, ASD and other behavioural and learning needs
- Teach small groups of students within tailored life-skills/health/PSHE curriculums, meeting needs from functional skills and entry level lessons, to foundational GCSE level
- Opportunities for progression as the school grows
- Salary MPS1-6, September start
Person specification:
- QTS/QTLS desirable, but non-essential (personality/experience are more important)
- Experience within SEND/SEMH education, and a true understanding of how to support these students access education
- Trauma-informed, relational approach to rapport-building
- Understanding that progress is personal to each individual, focus on connection and breaking down academic and personal barriers above all else
- Aspirational, ambitious SEND Teacher who are genuinely passionate about working with SEND/SEMH students and seeing them thrive
