Overview
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Landscape Foreman to oversee and coordinate landscaping projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in landscape maintenance, horticulture, and construction, with the ability to lead a team effectively. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse outdoor projects, ensuring high standards of quality and safety are maintained throughout all operations.
Duties
- Supervise and direct landscaping teams to ensure timely completion of projects
- Oversee landscape maintenance activities including planting, pruning, fertilising, and turf management
- Operate and maintain machinery such as excavators, power tools, and irrigation systems
- Utilise hand tools for detailed gardening and horticultural tasks
- Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure safety standards are adhered to
- Coordinate with clients and suppliers to ensure the correct materials and equipment are available
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal functioning
- Assist in construction activities related to landscape projects, including groundwork preparation and installation
- Provide guidance on horticultural best practices and plant care
Skills
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery such as excavators and irrigation systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Good organisational skills to plan and prioritise tasks efficiently
- CSCS card
- Full UK licences
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to outdoor landscaping work
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, team members, and suppliers
