Registered Manager – Solo Children’s Home (Learning Disabilities)
Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 + Bonus
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a solo children’s home supporting a young person with learning disabilities, where you can make a real difference and take full ownership of the service.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced OFSTED Registered Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a solo residential home.
You will be responsible for managing the service, leading staff, and ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance, while creating a stable and nurturing environment for the young person.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall management of the home, including staff supervision, care planning, safeguarding, and compliance
- Ensure the service meets all regulatory requirements, including Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
- Lead and support staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care
- Ensure care plans are tailored to the individual needs of the young person
- Monitor quality, produce reports, and meet organisational deadlines
- Maintain strong relationships with external professionals, families, and stakeholders
- Ensure training and development requirements are met
Requirements
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (essential)
- Previous experience as an Ofsted Registered Manager
- Strong experience supporting children with learning disabilities in residential settings
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience using electronic care records/systems
