JOB PURPOSE:
To work as a member of the team in the provision of residential care and support services for
children and young people who may display challenging behaviour
SKILLS / ABILITIES
Required:
- Proven ability to work on own initiative
- Knowledge and understanding of issues relating to people with emotional & challenging behaviours & learning difficulties.
- Diploma level 3
- A commitment to a service which provides support to vulnerable individuals, and which
is respectful and according to the individuals’ wishes
- Good communication skills written and verbal. Ability to communicate effectively with
young people, colleagues, family members and other professionals
- Commitment to training and self-development
- Car driver, willing to use own car as required and ability to homes vehicle / drive
minibus where applicable
- To complete shift work which include sleep in duties
- It is essential that you are able to work well as part of a team and on an individual basis
and due to regulations requiring workers to be older than the children they are working
with, you will need to be aged 21 years or over.
