Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team, fostering a positive and productive working environment
- Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining operational feasibility
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, quality, and presentation standards are met
- Manage food production schedules to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards across all kitchen activities
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory to control costs effectively
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, promoting skill development and professional growth
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety legislation
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a busy restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques
- Demonstrable leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
- Experience in food production management, including stock control and cost optimisation
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with team members and management
- Previous restaurant experience is essential; hospitality background is highly desirable
- A passion for delivering exceptional customer service through outstanding cuisine and presentation
Pay: £55,000.00 per year
