Psychology Graduate - Stretford

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Psychology Graduate to join our specialist primary school team, supporting pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). This role is ideal for graduates considering a future career in Educational Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Working alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff, you will help pupils access learning, develop communication skills, build independence, and achieve their individual outcomes in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
About the Role:

Support pupils with PMLD on a one-to-one and small-group basis throughout the school day.

Assist in delivering personalised learning programmes tailored to individual needs and abilities.

Promote communication, social interaction, emotional wellbeing, and engagement through a range of evidence-based approaches.

Support pupils with sensory learning activities and therapeutic interventions.

Implement strategies recommended by Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and other professionals.

Support pupils with personal care, feeding, mobility, and medical needs where required.

Contribute to maintaining a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment.

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families, and external professionals to support pupil development.

Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies always.
Experience/Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience supporting pupils with PMLD

A recent Psychology degree
-
An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one
