Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 18-ton Rigid C2 Tramper Driver to join our team on a full-time basis in Blackburn.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a C2 Rigid 18T Tramper vehicle across designated routes in and around Blackburn.
- Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment, ensuring secure placement on the flatbed.
- Conduct pre-journey safety checks on the vehicle before each trip.
- Deliver goods to clients or distribution centres in a timely manner, adhering to schedules.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with clients and dispatch teams.
- Follow all road safety regulations and company policies during operations.
- Ensure the vehicle remains clean and well-maintained throughout daily duties.
Requirements
- Valid driving licence suitable for commercial driving, specifically for C2 Rigid 18T vehicles.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with similar vehicles.
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in documentation and route planning.
- Self-motivated with a professional attitude towards customer service and safety standards.
- Flexibility to work independently as a self-employed contractor, managing own schedule effectively.
