Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled window fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of windows and doors in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a commitment to quality workmanship, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The window fitter will utilize various tools and techniques to ensure that all installations meet safety standards and client specifications.
Duties
- Install, repair, and replace windows in various types of buildings.
- Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure a perfect fit.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople to complete projects.
- Perform necessary adjustments to ensure proper sealing and insulation.
- Conduct assessments of existing windows for potential repairs or replacements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the installation process.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations during installations.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess experience in the following areas:
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to window fitting.
- Previous experience in window fitting or related construction roles is preferred but not essential.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot installation issues as they arise.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively.
