Duties

- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations
- Manage food production processes, maintaining quality and consistency across all menu items
- Oversee food safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health regulations and cleanliness standards
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
- Assist in menu planning and development as well as weekly specials, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques
- Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock levels
- Train new kitchen staff and interns, fostering a positive team environment
- Maintain organisation of the kitchen workspace for optimal efficiency and safety
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent culinary skills with a flair for creating diverse and appealing dishes
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Experience in food production and restaurant operations is highly desirable
