Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and experienced 7-ton car transporter and trailer driver to join our team. This needs an unusual licence, being a full C1+E (or a C+E) and would suit a driver looking for something easier to drive than a full size HGV. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles around the UK with occasional nights out in accommodation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in commercial driving and delivery services to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 7-ton car transporter and trailer, ensuring secure loading and unloading of vehicles
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections prior to each journey to ensure roadworthiness
- Plan efficient routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to traffic regulations and safety standards
- Assist with the loading and securing of vehicles using appropriate equipment and techniques
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance reports
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transit
- Follow all legal requirements related to commercial driving and transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience in driving commercial vehicles, preferably as a delivery driver
- Valid driving licence suitable for operating a 7-ton vehicle with trailer attachment
- Ideally knowledge of transporter operations and vehicle securing techniques
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and compliance standards
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times
Pay: From £33,000.00 per year
Experience:
- Commercial driving: 2 years (preferred)
